For Pratt Institute, New York City

︎︎ Where we were. CATALYST SDR, Pratt Institute's Design Management program's publication, needed to evolve beyond its traditional print magazine and website format. While the publication discussed crucial topics in design strategy and social innovation, it lacked a systematic approach to content creation and resource management.

︎︎Where we wanted to be. Our goal was to transform CATALYST from a periodic print publication into a sustainable content platform that would effectively utilize program candidates' diverse skills and available resources, regardless of medium.

︎︎How we got there. Beginning with the design of the magazine's third issue, we identified an opportunity to revolutionize the entire publication model. Rather than treating print and digital as separate entities, we developed a cyclical system that would enable program candidates to create and distribute content strategically across multiple channels.

We created an operations framework that emphasized flexibility and sustainability, allowing future teams to adapt their content strategy based on available resources and skills. This systematic approach ensured CATALYST could maintain consistent quality and engagement while evolving with changing media landscapes.

The result was a transformed publication model that extended beyond traditional constraints, enabling continuous content creation and audience engagement while providing a sustainable platform for discussing design strategy's role in business and social innovation.
