The Care Crate Company
Brand Strategy / Visual Identity Design / Packaging Design / Marketing Communications
New York City, NY
︎︎ Where we were. The Care Crate Co. needed distinct brand identities for two specialized product lines: My Hero Crate for military personnel and My College Crate for students. While the company had a clear mission of connecting loved ones through thoughtful care packages, they needed visual systems that would resonate with these very different audiences.
︎︎Where we wanted to be. The company aimed to create two distinct yet complementary brand environments: one that honored service members with patriotic dignity and gratitude, and another that captured the fun, playful spirit of college life. Both needed to reinforce the core mission of keeping loved ones connected through meaningful care packages.

Both needed to reinforce the core mission of keeping loved ones connected through meaningful care packages.
︎ ︎How we got there. We developed two unique visual identity systems that served their specific audiences while maintaining the parent brand's commitment to thoughtful giving. For My Hero Crate, we created a design system that balanced patriotic elements with personal touches, crafting packages that honored service while strengthening connections to home.
For My College Crate, we embraced a more playful approach, designing a visual system that spoke to the excitement and energy of campus life. Each identity system was carefully crafted to resonate with its audience while making the unboxing experience meaningful and memorable.
The success of these brand systems has contributed to the company's impressive growth, now partnering with over 10,000 universities, earning thousands of 5-star reviews, and enabling the donation of over 20,000 lbs. of food since 2020.
